Thank you from Foundation to Fight Blindness
The following is a thank you letter from Mark, Cindy, Tony and Wesley Taliani to the BSWPA:
I just want to take a few minutes to express our gratitude and appreciation to the entire Blues Society of Western PA. We can't begin to thank you enough for your involvement with the Foundation Fighting Blindness(FFB). I'm overwhelmed by the support from the entire group.As you may know, my family's involvement with FFB is a personal story. My son Tony has been legally blind since he was 13. After you deal with the horror of blindness, you decide you want to do something, anything to fight back. That's how we got involved with FFB. The Vision Walk, which was what our benefit supported, is the biggest fund raiser we do. Our family is the Chair Family at the event and we get to meet so many wonderful and dedicated people. Now, I'm so pleased to be able to include many of you as our friends.
Well, for the record we made $1147 for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Someone asked me if I thought it was successful. Let me say it this way. Last year our team raised $4000 .........in the whole YEAR. We raised a quarter of that in one day. I think that is Outstanding.
I truly hope we can do this again next year, so keep us in your thoughts. Working together, I know we can make our benefit event bigger and better every year!
